Love this song. I thought it said : 'and it ends in my name' not 'one name' but I don't know.. Also, on the chorus, I heard it as 'Wake me up, wake me, I'll stop my foreword when I'm at my weakest'. Not sure about 'foreword' but she definitely says 'Wake me up, wake me I'll..' instead of 'Wake me up' twice. I only have the demo though, so obviously I won't know if it's changed for the final version :) |

This is one of my favourite Ellie Goulding songs, love it!! As to what it's about, I read an interview with Ellie the other day and she said this: "It's about letting go. As opposed to all the sad and depressing things I write about, I decided to write something about the joining together of people in some kind of euphoric state - be it at a festival, at a show or in a club. I wanted a song that would reach out to people of every background and every enjoyment, whether you enjoy a natural high, taking drugs, drinking or whatever. Because I'm essentially a pop artist I wanted to write a song that everyone can relate to." |
