Gayngs – The Last Prom On Earth Lyrics 14 years ago
Phew, good. I'm glad some people agree with me! Although I am a little sick of "irony" in the "indie" world though. (Please note my quotation marks. Haha.)

The Tallest Man on Earth – Kids on the Run Lyrics 14 years ago
Ttakethefire: I will eat my own hat if this song is intended to be about nuclear holocaust.
And FreeJigsawEarth: I agree with you that that probably is not written for that purpose. However, your interpretation is still really beautiful... It also fits surprisingly well. That gave me a way of looking at it in a new light, thank you.

How I have looked at this song is the battle between hedonism and love and how they can be packaged differently. The two characters are lovers who have engaged physically and feel guilty about it, but don't necessarily regret it.

Kid Cudi – Pursuit of Happiness (Nightmare) (feat. MGMT & Ratatat) Lyrics 15 years ago
I am quite confident that he is neither glorifying nor defending the lifestyle that he poses in the song. He is upset that he's doing drugs and living so hedonistically. He says that he will have "lived life to the fullest" but this isn't really true.

Hmmm, John Wilmot is spelled with only one "l".

I thought that this song was being satirical. A prom dance shouldn't be something that is so emotional. I also don't see "the bitch debates" being used seriously... Maybe it's just that I want it to be satirical though...

A Silver Mt. Zion – Blindblindblind Lyrics 16 years ago
Just a little thing that I think is sort of important. In the liner notes, there are several exclamation points...

"Some! Hearts! Are! True!"
It alters my interpretation a bit... I dunno...
