And FreeJigsawEarth: I agree with you that that probably is not written for that purpose. However, your interpretation is still really beautiful... It also fits surprisingly well. That gave me a way of looking at it in a new light, thank you.
How I have looked at this song is the battle between hedonism and love and how they can be packaged differently. The two characters are lovers who have engaged physically and feel guilty about it, but don't necessarily regret it. |

I thought that this song was being satirical. A prom dance shouldn't be something that is so emotional. I also don't see "the bitch debates" being used seriously... Maybe it's just that I want it to be satirical though... |
