okay man, you read the lyrics, clearly at the part were it says "devon, won't go to heaven, she's just another lost soul about to be mine again," and this part "devon lies beyond this portal, take the word of one immortal." The first line above is saying devon is not going to heaven and will be with the devil along with the other lost souls. The second part means this, a portal takes someone to another place, and it is said to believe that the devil is immortal which means devon is one with satan in hell. So whatever your saying about a drug addict, clearly it's wrong. I watched an interview with David Draiman and he says that his girlfriend was in depression and committed suicide. David also said that he had a thought of suicide and he decided to not committ suicide because people cared for him. He wrote these lyrics because he believes suicide is the mark of the devil asking for another soul. I know it's deep but David believes that. However, he is still a God believer but finds it hard to accept he is listening after all he has been through when he was younger. |

I agree with you Night Sanctuary. I think this song is about how we lose sight of what life can bring out at us. In the lyrics when the guy screams and grunts and he says, "There are seven doors within my dreams, I've found them all, but still no key." I think he means I know my life can be hard to understand, I understand it but I don't know what I should do with the comprehension. |

I saw this band in concert and watched a lot of concerts and whenever they play this song, or before the play it, they always say it's about freedom and being free for all of those years in your life when you have troubles. |
