When I first heard this song it kinda reminded me of a girl who is abused or is being used like as a prostitute and everyone knows it's wrong but no one stands up and tries to stop it...And the guy just leaves her "A new port every night" but it was too difficult to interpret it this way so now I think of the guy I like and how we are quiet around each other and we don't realyl talk to each other and I have a feeling there is something between us yet we both can't and won't say anything because we are too doubtful and it might all be in our heads...and "its a sailor in a new port evernight" like he cant really find a good relationship but he has changed and we used to be so close but he changed and it really has been years and still nothign has happened and something could if he would let it but it won't...and i want him here despite how wrong it is and I want him to confide in me and tell me everything that is bothering him....*Please comment or reply on this-I'm a new member!!* |

I interpret the song in this way too! It kinda makes me think like the guy is bad or something but I interpret into my own life as I like this guy but we don't really know each other too well but I'm afraid to tell him who I really am or become close to him because he's a bad person so I just let it be and I know I can't really get involved with him. |
