I use to think this song was about heartbreak, so many lines hit me as that's where I have been before. But the more I read through the lyrics, I think it's about cheating. He regrets the hell out of what he has just done. The intro either means, he's paranoid and everyone knows, or, the hotel is a whore house type of place and anyone there is there for a reason, therefore the particular guy didn't want anyone seeing him there. I still like to think it's about heartbreak. That he misses that girl but refuses to be in this misery anymore. It's a waste of time to feel like this. He's going to begin laughing it off and move on. I've been there. You are so depressed of the love you miss that you'd fall asleep to the greatest movie of the year. |

Also as a long time Ham-ian. Snow fall in birmingham, that line. Brilliant. Anyone whos from the Ham will instantly understand this line. this song is simply amazing. but for its meaning... i think its just simply what hes saying, hes following a girl from cali back to the ham, and it didnt seem to work out. Amazingly sung song. love this band. ps. as for the soil line mrtito, i think its more along the lines of him talking about the feeling of birmingham, not so much the soil. i think its more of a metaphor then a actual term. |

WSO is a very religiously background band... but the third verse.. colors are always associated with emotions.. blue (feeling blue?)..black (emo)..yellow (who knows..maybe sickness of somekind) ...purple i have no idea.. idk what they mean exactly to him.. but im sure theyre emotions that have stormed him and left before a calm ??purple?? came in and settled things down.. and the whole world calling him just means that he thinks maybe this purple time is telling him...or showing him what he needs to do in life..all this song is about..the same thing i do everyday.. question whether what and where ur going in life is the path ur spose to go.. and if its not would god tell us.. would he change our plot or destiny.. would he come get us?... this song is very deep... this is a very Coming Of Age song... |

God what a brilliant song. This is for so many people i know in this world. So many kids growing up with parents today and the way they just BULLSHIT everything.. and they hide all this shit from us like we will never grow up and see the truth..like were fucking idiotic robots that they get to just tease. Well when u do that to ur kids..u grow up one pissed off generation.. this song is for our generation..he couldnt have written this any better... simply about his past...and adds some for people to relate.. although he seems to hate his dad a lot in this song..id blame them both evenly. |

Another incredible WSO song..but idk exactly what i think this means.. when he says... "as sure as my heart breaks, my love for you will never change" i wanna say that means it doesnt mean it will never change.. actually it means the exact opposite.. that it will prolly change..or..it could be..as true as my heart being broken before.. is just as true as my love never changing for u..haha so i cant decide..it could go either way... him saying "when the sun goes down i will always see ur face" makes me feel like hes never gonna see her again besides in his head, bcus thats when she leaves.. none the less...something happen b/t him and a girl...and he realized it in the car one night... |

AMAZING BAND...to bad they broke up..they could have been so incredibly good. and this song just shows how well preston livinggood can write a fucking song.. this song is brilliant..i listen to it everyday.. along with most of this cd.. i saw them live xmas 08 and instantly fell inlove and never thought twice about this band.. but this song is deff. about love...and his troubles with trying to love whoever it is.. and it being the girl he had sex with sounds perfect to me..never thought about that... not to mention i got to meet him 5 days after i saw him live in my CVS on xmas eve that year.. fucking badass... to bad hes an asshole and has to let fame get to him..GET OVER URSELF AND WRITE SOME MUSIC ASSHOLE... btw..FUCK YOU FORBES5656 |
