I love this song. I met Nate at a concert a few months ago and asked him what his favorite song to play live was and he that it was this one and What The Fuck (at that time).
Second verse- "Then he swears he's gotta take this call/ Man, I get scared he's gonna leave us too soon"
I think is about Jack and how he's involved in Steel Train and fun.

On my first listen of Streets of Gold, this was my favorite song. It has the familiar 3oh!3 catchy element, but the content is much darker than their other songs.
I also think that the song is about the singer dating a younger girl and getting her into smoking, drinking, and drugs. He regrets this, and tells her that she better find somebody else to get her into these things, because he doesn't want to be the one to hurt her. |
