to me, I agree with you but it seems more like a passing of a parent. and a child who may feel like they didn't do enough for that parent or do as expected like "when will my weight be too much for you?" How I took the middle verse was this: "this was a scene worth waking up for when i woke up" like I should have realized when you were alive how much you really meant to me but i was "sleeping" "planted me in my own pot, but somehow it just feels so wrong" like the child is saying you taught me everything but without you i don't feel myself or i feel lost or you planted me but i didn't grow the way you wanted me to. like "ive still got growing to do" "when you set I will be lonely,when you rise again ill have become the sun" sad because parent is gone but when they see each other again im heaven the child will have lived life and become a good person/ parent themselves "shine down upon you as if you were the only one" either to the future "child" or "grandchild" or i will show you the love i should have shown when you were alive i didn't appreciate you enough Thats just my take but its just one opinion :-) |
