I have to agree with amber3291, that this is a song about letting your guard down and letting God in. I think the line of the chorus where she says "nothing can separate us" could be a reference to Romans 8:38-39 - "38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." |

This is a great song. The guy knows that the only perfect love is Jesus' so he's trying to model his love for the girl after Jesus' love for her. "But if I can love her like You do It's all she needs" |

I think sonicemerald is pretty much spot on with how they interpret the meaning. "We both know you can't plan Something as real as this It takes more than plans to feel like this" I love this verse because it pretty much says you can't plan true love, and you can't plan how it's going to make you feel. |
