I want this song played at my funeral because to me, this is a song of reflection. In the first verse, it's as if he's leaving his home. He knows he's made mistakes. It's like he's talking to a former friend, saying "I can't meet you here tomorrow" and how they should make the same mistakes he did. He doesn't want them to follow the same path he did. He has to leave his past behind him. In the second verse, to me, it's all about how we live life in the fast lane. We drink it up and party with friends, we get so lost in everything because we don't want to feel pain or feel that we care, even though we do care deep down. In the third verse, again, it's just reflecting on his former life, all the friends and family he knew, and also the bad times he went through. Where he is now... he's just remembering those times spent. In the last verse he repeats "take me home." I'm not trying to be morbid, but heaven is often referred to as "home." To me this verse is just showing that he's ready to leave that life behind and make his own "home" or he's ready to be in heaven and at peace now. (that interpretation is also why I want this played at my funeral.) |

| actually they're name has a LOT to do with Alice In Chains. Alice In Chains has a song called "Godsmack." Sully has said that his band is heavily inspired by Alice In Chains. I personally don't believe that they are an AIC rip off, but I do believe that their music is heavily influenced by AIC and they got their band name from an AIC song. | |
