how has no one commented on this? its an amazing song! Sometimes it seems The world is crashing down on me So hard these days With nowhere to turn So many lost souls with so much to learn With no direction, I've lost myself And this is my cry for help Chasing dreams is all that's left for me Thinking this bottle will set me free -this whole verse is about how she thinks her life has fallen apart, that she cant find anything to feel safe in, and thinks that drinking is gonnna solve all her problems Would someone believe there's more to me Than broken dreams So take a chance tonight, live you life tonight You should be happy to be alive -she wishes someone would come and see her for what she really is instead of seeing the broken exterior, that they take a chance on her and not be afraid to live, but the last lines seem more like something shes trying to get herself to believe And I've learned that this life is filled with my friends (the ones you love most) And all the signs we took for granted (in our lives, in our lives) I wish for nothing more than happiness What i'd give just to hear your voice again -shes learned what was really important in her life, like her friends, and how she never realized how much things like that mean to her and she wishes she could have them back to be happy again, the last line could either be about an ex or a friend that she lost that she wishes she could be with again A life forsaken I can't sleep at night I shouldn't be the one alive And I know sometimes you need to let go But I'm not letting go tonight -she cant sleep because she regrets the mistakes that shes made, that she broke up with someone and hurt them alot, but now she feels the pain they felt, she knows that they both need to move on, but she cant |
