I think this song is about an unhealthy relationship. I think that it has to deal with someone who is in this relationship ( the singer) and than the person theyre singing to, who is uncertain, idk if its just because of my personal feelings, but i think it has to do with the singer being in love with someone, and knows the other person atleast feels a little bit like he does at LEAST but they wont admitt it because there are so many things tearing them apart. but heres my disection of this song :) ::: Go on just say it you need me like a bad habit One that leaves you defenseless, dependent, and alone ------ why wont you just admitt your in love with me too? you know that i make you break down, you know i make you feel things too, so why wont you just admitt it? | I think that this song is addressing a couple with problems. He is just always so overly cautious and keeps thinking that she is going to leave him and he will just become a memory and this "listless nagging in my brain" means that he knows it isn't true, but he can't help it. And I think that because of his constant thoughts that she is going to leave him, she becomes more distant and more frustrated. "passion over consequence since when did that latter take the lead" is i think her saying this. Shes saying why can't we just live off the passion, or love of the moment instead of worrying who is going to leave who and how it might hurt, why can't they just live for now? | |

| I think that this song is about him. I think that hes saying that he was raised Catholic, but was never raised as one. He "scraped um up good" as in that he messed up his spotless soul with all the awful actions that hes done. Hes saying that it all was moving too fast, and that he couldn't stop it and it felt that he was in way too deep. Thats why hes saying "she" came in. this girl who arrived just in time to help him. TO help him "doctor" his wounds and bring him back to where he needs to be. That she got here just in time to help him. Shes making her better. Shes helping him to become a better person that what hes grown up to be and hes willing to change. | |
