| Josh Groban – War At Home Lyrics

I think the song is trying to say that the real war is going on within our borders, our homes, and our hearts. Think about it. We have border wars, violent crime, poverty, child abuse, extreme divorce rates, domestic violence, and families being broken up. The war isn't out there - it is within our own homes. |

I think of the song the same way. It's like God telling us not to give up hope. This song has moved me to tears sometimes. It makes me think of poor, sick, or dying children in other parts of the world. I imagine Jesus speaking these words to them and telling them that he still cares. |

One of the things I love about this song (apart from its beautiful melody) is the lyrics; they could be addressed to a lover, a friend, or even God himself. Incredible. |

This song is most certainly about losing somebody, most likely to death ("... beyond the distant star", "...maybe you're still here...", "I cherish all you gave me every day", etc.). If somebody I know dies, I want to sing this at their funeral. Too bad I can't sing. |

'Caruso' doesn't really have anything to do with the lyrics. Rather, it is named that because of the person it is dedicated to, Enrico Caruso. He was a great operatic tenor long before our time. |

I consider this to be one of Josh Groban's most beautiful songs, but that's just personal opinion. However, I find the lyrics to be stunning and powerful at the same time. Whether you are a person of faith or not, this song can speak to anyone. I think what the song is saying is, "We must hope for all to be well in the world, but it is up to us to do something about it; even though we can't fix everything at once, we have so much to give thanks for." This shall forever remain one of my favorites. |

This is his most beautiful song, in my opinion. Even though it doesn't have as much of the dissonance he employs in his other songs, its sound is heavenly and the lyrics are magical. I never tire of it. I hope someone does a good recording of it so I can take it around with me instead of constantly having to listen to it off of MySpace. :) |
