hmm a common theme of titus andronicus seems to be having 2 work a normal job and be normal people, this song seems to about quiting and selling out, and the you will allways be a looser part seems to be the thought that now he has sold out he will allways be a looser, well at least tahts the message i get from it. but it is my fav song XD |

wow this song confuses me, it almost sounds like the story of a man who is travelling by the rail roads, until he says "I am dying slowly from Patrick Stickles Disease" then the song becomes more personal, maybe it is just patricks journey in life, using the story of a man travelling and never having a home as a metaphor. it tells of him metting a another traveller and the use of the areoplane i think is about the other traveller finding a better life. anyone else know any more about this song? |

this song is about a the singer quiting his art, and how the idea of quiting fills him with dread and leaves his life empty "Throw my guitar down on the floor No one cares what I've got to say anymore I didn't come here to be damned with faint praise I'll write my masterpiece some other day" this is about him quiting "There'll be no more cigarettes No more having sex No more drinking until you fall on the floor No more indie rock" this is about how quiting his art is also quiting his lifestlye. "They'll say Your life is over [repeat until end]" now this line is harder as it could be his former band mates and friends telling him that leaving the band means his life is over or perhaps it is just his own opinion of leaving his art, he saying that his art is his entire life. a great song by a great band |
