This is such a beautiful song. I dont know why but it really touches me every time i hear it. And it sonically, it's just epic.

I know this is cliche - but it seems like something related to a breakup

maybe briefly getting back into a relationship, or visiting an ex's house, or snooping around the house of someone she's with trying to find something out that she doesn't want to find out.

Backing out of a relationship before they can hurt you.

"These four walls are lost forever" - being back in the person's place or thinking about an ex's house and realizing you cant go back - or even just metaphorically that you cant go back to where you were.

Survive destiny, Polaroid me - like take a picture of NOW that will last forever, so this moment could be forever.

Egh... that's the best i feel like doing.
but i love this song.

haha just had the third breakup with this guy and the first stanza is exactly it.
"For all the good you say it does,
It seems no better when you've had your say.
We may believe it's just because
The words get colder when you've gone away."

we keep bringing things up about the relationships and having out say about it, especially me, thinking it'll make things better.
But it never does.

Pretty sad song. Relate waaay too hard.

This seems like someone recovering/trying to recover from addiction.

someone telling the person that everyone's shaping up, but you are probably going to go back /relapse

With my head in the clouds"

Not going back to his old life, another person or a friend has relapsed

"The sun in the eyes
Of the people in the room
That wanna find morning"

Like people in the rooms of recovery meetings who have that sparkle in their eyes because life if finally good for them. They want to recover.

"Are you coming on up?
Are you coming on up, now?"
Them talking to him about whether he wants to get in on this recovery situation and the good life he could be living. On a new plane of existence.

There you can go, you think nobody knows - seems like some sort of addiction anonymous meeting

guided by light from above - finding some sort of higher power, which is usually an essential part of 12 step programs.

12 steps?! yeah. thought so.

LOVE THIS SONG

at first i thought of it as her talking to her partner about how their relationships might not be as epic as it was at first, but it's lasting and beautiful and that they make each other feel the way no other can.

but then after reading comments i wonder if it IS her confronting him as in - who is making you feel the way i make you feel? Who knows you the way i do?
Who is the other girl you have ?
Which seems fitting with the extra "who? who?" like it's interrogating.

But i also really like the song as a "by the way, if you are thinking of cheating, remember that no one can make you feel the way i do."

Anyways, awesome song. as usual.

ugh SO BEAUTIFUL!!!

I really relate. it reminds me of just trying to reassure who you're with that they can take your hand and you'll take them anywhere.

And that you will just wait there, waiting for them to come around. "Take your time, and if i'm lying to you, i know you'll find you'll beleive me."

I'll always be alone if i'm lying to you - that lyric always gets me.

Definitely seems like it's drug/alcohol related.
Often when people talk about relapsing it's a 'slide'

And making mistakes and being in a self pity for it.

And particularly feeling you feel pain that nobody feels and nobody has felt, and like you need to drown it out.

That's just what I feel about it though. Beautiful song, as just about all of hers are!
