Needtobreathe – Something Beautiful Lyrics 15 years ago
I don't know if you'll ever read this, but I would really want you to know that this song is really something beautiful! I don't believe in God, but I do believe that when we're hurt, when we're down and desperate, we go to hold on to something beautiful... And this song really give me hope.

I'm the weirdest atheist ever, because I'm touch by a lot of Christian songs, and most of the time I don't even realise that it has a meaning related to God. I guess a have to believe in something, even if it's not god...

Anyways, Needtobreathe is an awesome band, I love EVERY song. Your song "More time" gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it!

PLEASE, come to Montreal, Canada!

The Tragically Hip – In View Lyrics 15 years ago
I dunno but I love to think about songs in movies and I would love to hear this song in a beginning of one, with the title.

If it's in one and I don't know, please tell me!

System of a Down – Chop Suey! Lyrics 16 years ago
I like System of a down, and every time I listen to this particular song I have to repeat at least 3 times the first 30 seconds. The guitar solo is awesome.

Nickelback – S.E.X. Lyrics 16 years ago
Actually, this is not the first song about sex from Nickelback. And I'm pretty sure it's ironic and made to be provocative (turambar47 resumed the idea pretty well!)
But sex IS the simple need. So sex, no life. It's so overrated though. It's an industry! Now nobody has sex for kids!

LOL Your joke was funny, but the people who are arguing with your "statement" are even funnier!

Nickelback – Figured You Out Lyrics 16 years ago
Love this song, but it's very nasty. But I hate people complaining about this, because I'm pretty sure it's ironic, like their song called "Rockstar".

What does this song mean to you?
mmmmm I think the lyrics are pretty much self-explanatory!

Led Zeppelin – That's the Way Lyrics 16 years ago
I never could choose a FAVOURITE song of Led... I can't do that.
But I do know that I want this song for my funeral.

Lots of people say it's abour racism, but I can't put an interpretation for this one... This song just... I don't know.
Perfect song when I'm driving. I'm happy and sad at the same time when I listen it, so I better be alone!

City and Colour – Comin' Home Lyrics 16 years ago
I've been to Halifax for 5 weeks and I listened a lot of City and Colour there. This city is just so simple and peaceful... Like City and Colour. When I took the time to really listen to this song, it gave me shivers.
I was really glad to come back in Montreal, my home place. Halifax is WAY prettier and better than Montreal, that is for sure, but there's no place like home!

Fleetwood Mac – Landslide Lyrics 16 years ago
I first heard this song on a CD that my father has when I was about 6 or 7. I didn't understand much english at that age, except this:
"Children get older, and I'm getting older, too."
I first thought that it was very true, and yet very sad. I imagine my parents, aunts and uncles ageing in from of us (my brothers and I), the children... At that age all my grands-parents were dead, so I was scared that when I'm gonna be at that age, they all be gone.

I love this song. A lot. Every time I hear it I get a flashback of me in the passenger's seat of my father's minivan listening to this song, and looking outside the window.

Now I'm 18 and I understand the entire song, and I just love it more. My father being kind of my best friend, I also "build me life" around him. I never want to disappoint him (makes me kind of a great teenager to raise), and I always wants him to be proud of me...
I love my family, and I'm scared that (like in this song) everything is gonna change...

Alexi Murdoch – All My Days Lyrics 16 years ago
This song defines my life! Except I didn't find what I'm looking for...

I heard it in the trailer of a movie called "Away We Go". By the way, if you're into soft, indie movies, and you love Alexi Murdoch (he did the whole soundtrack!), listen to this movie. VERY touching and cute!

Jon Foreman – The Cure For Pain Lyrics 16 years ago
First time I heard this song, I try to relate to it, because I always wanted to cure pain. But then I heard heaven and lord.

The meaning of the song is very nice: Dealing with the pain instead of trying to erase it forever.
But WHY does GOD suffer too in this song?

Switchfoot – Stars Lyrics 16 years ago
First song I heard of Switchfoot, and it's my favourite ever.
The lyrics suit with me. Since I'm a little kid, I've always looked up the stars and said that there's someone, out there. I never believe in God, but yes, I do believe that we are not the only planet with like on it. It's highly illogical to think the opposite.

This is one of my favourites verses of all songs ever made:

Stars looking at a planet
Watching entropy and pain
And maybe start to wonder how the chaos in our lives could pass as sane
I've been thinking about the meaning of resistance
Of a hope beyond my own
And suddenly the infinite and penitent begin to look like home

Cartel – Wasted Lyrics 16 years ago
Love this song. Very unique, yet sad, about how life itself screw US. If you look at every little story, the "characters" are wasted because of events and things that happen in life without our own will (death of a child, car accident, disease, inattention of our parents, dreams shattered...)

my favourite part, which makes me shiver by the way, is definitely:

"It's been five years and now I'm starting to doubt
Whether all my dreams are just aimless stares
Looking off to some place that isn't there"

I'm kind of lost theses times, and I feel exactly like that; wasted.
