This song is partially about Estonia. Kerli said so herself. It's about how the people there look down on people with talent and who are happy. They think you are trying act like you are better than anyone if you aren't sad and pessimistic. Pretty odd, but that's what she said. Watch some interviews she has done. She is a very different girl. She really thinks things out and is a deep thinker. She thinks really open minded so the whole "do you know what it's all about? know that you could set your world on fire, if you are strong enough to leave your doubts" could be literal to her. And since I think a lot like she does, I do too. I believe that we can do more with our minds than we realize. She is a very positive thinker. I saw a picture of her wearing a shirt that said positive and the definiton on it. She wanted to be a singer and she believed in herself and made her own dream come true even though others might have been negative towards her saying shes odd, "creepy", or crazy. The song is about believing in yourself. Believe it and you can do it. Very inspirational song to me. |

It's about how religions cause war and death. It shows how hypocritical relgions are. This song IS about religion and war. Barely, if any, of 30 seconds to mars' songs are about love between two people. I can't interpret all of the lines, but these are the key ones. "tell me would you kill to save a life?" = killing is a sin "tell me would you kill to prove you're right" = but it's not if you are killing for your religion "crash, crash, burn" = suicide bombers who believe they are killing to please their god "no matter how many lives that I live, I will never forget" = reincarnation he's saying "do you really love, do you really love me? do you really want me dead or alive to torture for my sins?" = he's talking to god Not for sure what "this hurricane is chasing us all underground" but since I know a hurricane is like chaos, "the prayers we prayed were like a drug" = our prayers are our crutches, our answer for everything "the love we had, we had to let it go" = we are so segregated by religion that we forget to love one another no matter our beliefs and differences, or we think we have to hate because of it |

The whole song doesn't make sense. I heard that it's about her telling guys to wait for their turn to be with her. If it's supposedly about her telling guys to wait in line with the rest for their turn to be with her, why is she saying they will be taking over? What are they gonna take over and for what reason? |

She's been hurt and broken hearted from previous relationships and is determined not to let it happen again. She only wants physical relationships. The guy wants to love her,but she is too stubborn and set in her ways to let him in. She does have feelings and cries on the inside,but never shows it on the outside. She says "you got me wonderin why I like it rough" because this guy is making her wonder why she has become who she is, which is a sex addict. Rough sex is a drug to her. She doesn't get that high unless the sex is rough. Now, the part that says "Im shiney and I know it, Don't know why you wanna blow it" I think means she's trying to sound cocky and like a hardass. Yet, the guy wants her to be soft and sensitive, which would make her more vulnerable and she would lose that hard edge she has created. Don't know why you wanna blow it for me,and let me possibly get hurt again. |
