I agree, seaweed. I hadn't encountered "hard times" before I heard their version. I've listened to some of the others that are on youtube, but they just don't move me the way eastmountainsouth does. my favorite part is "while we seek mirth and beauty / and music light and gay". |

when my great-uncle, to whom I had been rather close, died, it felt so unreal that I didn't really start to mourn - until I listened to this song on my way to the funeral. eastmountainsouth simply touch my heart with (almost) all the their songs. too bad there won't be new material :-( |
