Seems like it's about a long term relationship that is falling apart or going through a rough patch. He wants her to stop fighting and forget the world around them and all of the conflict it is causing. Either that or he wants to ignore the fact that the relationship is falling apart, and he wants to just focus on the good parts of it, save it. He wants to pretend that everything bad is non-existant. He wants to win her over again and for her to put aside everything that is happening and see that he still wants to fight. Basically he and his girlfriend are fighting...once again. Like one of those periods where you just go through that you fight until things get resolved. "You know it all could be much easier But I'm still travelling, I'm still travellin"- being on the road/long distance makes conflict blow up and makes it easier to misinterpret things. He's getting frustrated with all of it and all the tension it creates between them, and he'll apologize as many times as it takes because he really cares about her and the stupid arguments aren't worth losing her. |

He was hiding something from her at first, and then told her because he realized how much she means to him and is hoping that she can get over it. Time is moving on before he'd like it to and he's still recovering from some sort of breakdown. He was in a relationship and was caught off guard by her breaking things off. She had everything he wanted, but she was looking for something else. The whole "faster ride" thing is saying that she's not looking for a relationship, she just wants to have fun. They aren't seeing eye to eye on this, but he still has feelings for her and is trying to let go. She's moving on and doesn't feel bad or regret letting go of him, because she's just looking for that short term attention she gets from relationships. I feel like he definitely still has feelings for her and is hoping she'll get some common sense and come back. |
