I think it's about nothing. Just existing, and being where you are, with nothing particularly on your mind. Whether this state is drug induced or not is up to the reader. It seems almost as if the mind is racing, but with no destination, just question after question just to stay awake. |

The Narrator is experiencing the calm before the storm, and takes a moment to obsess over something that is not the other Alpha. They are bound to have a fight, and the Narrator knows this, and is putting their mind else where for the time being.
The last verse is the fight, and both Alphas passed out drunk the night before, they both have massive hangovers, and the sound of a helicopter overhead causes the couple to fall to the ground. They start to physically fight, but then it turns to sex, and everything feels right for the moment. |

The Alpha couple are basically trying to one-up each other in a "fuck you" contest. The Narrator is hoping for bad things to happen, almost to say "I told you so", to the other other person. All the lines about leaving are so the Narrator can have the last laugh. |
