| Imogen Heap – Speeding Cars Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I don't know if anyone else said this but to me it reminds me of leaving highschool and graduating. Let me explain "here's the day you hoped would never come don't feed me violins just run with me through rows of speeding cars" the end of highschool is in a way sad. You want it to come but at the same time you don't. Violins are formal as are graduations and the car parts obvious I think "the papercuts, the cheating lovers the coffee's never strong enough i know you think it's more than just bad luck" I think this symbolizes the drama and hard work of highschool "there there, baby it's just text book stuff it's in the ABC of growing up" graduation is something that most people go through "now now, darling don't lose your head none of us were angels and you know I love you, yeah" I think this symbolizes how no one was perfect in HS and that it's over now "sleeping pills know, sleeping dogs lie never far enough away glistening in the cold sweat of guilt" not to sure here "I've watched you slowly winding down for years you can't keep on like this now's a bad a time as any" this symbolizes how everyone changes through out the four years of HS "it's ok by me it was a long time ago" well that's what the song means to me. Probably because I am graduating soon haha class of 2010! |

| Can someone explain the reference to a "seven day mile"... Does that have a meaning? | |
| Kris Allen – The Truth Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This song means a lot to me. I honestly hated kris allen at first but now I think he is amazing. To me this song is about trying to maintain a broken relationship. You both know its not working out but you keep going with it because its easier that way. Hope that made sense. It reminds me a lot of my best friend. Great song though, my favorite by him. | |
