I think the best parts of the song are when he curses like "bitch I swear I'll go crazy" and when he's talking in the background and says "You, you make a mutha f*cker wanna sing" It makes me happy I don't know why. |

Dude!! I love Possum Kingdom Lake! My family has a camper up there and we'd visit once in a while. Hell's Gate is really cool. I always wondered if this song was about the lake. I assumed it was, but I had been meaning to look it up. These interpretations are really awesome. I never even thought about vampires, but I guess I can see the connection in a sense. It's a really creep/kick-ass song though. |

This song can be interpreted in many ways. The message can pretty much apply to anyone. The two main interpretations are God and Love.
LOVE(the way I see it):
Her whole life she hasn't believed in love and she thought she couldn't rely on someone. She started dating this guy and maybe they broke up, but after being away from this guy she's realizing that maybe she was wrong about love because she is noticing that she misses, loves, and/or needs him, etc.
GOD(again the way I see it):
Pretty much the same interpretation except with God replacing the man and faith replacing love. |

Hayley's vocals throughout this entire song are incredible...I mean incredible. She's my idol. I've been through a bunch of crap that has made me lose faith. The "oh father" part of this song is pretty much the exact words that I felt like saying to God. After I heard this I honestly started to tear up. It's so powerful. |

Oh mother of jesus!!! This is getting ridiculous! Ke$ha is a perfect example of why I don't appreciate mainstream music. Does anyone else notice that she just sounds stupid. Her voice and everything she decides to say. She seems very trashy in my opinion. She especially sounds stupid at the end of your love is my drug her singing voice and her talking voice are ridiculous. The only reason I know about this crap is because my mother is pretty much in love with all of it and she doesn't even really pay attention to what she's singing. In my opinion this is nothing close to talent. Disgrace! |

Okay...First of all I'm 15 and I think that this song is offensive, a disgrace to music, and sad...second of all the only reason I'm on here(for the people wondering why I'm reading song lyrics I don't like)is to show my mom what Rihanna is saying and why it's disgusting(in my opinion)because she likes this song and doesn't really listen to the words she's singing along to...now I have a strong passion for music and I find this song very useless and to be a waste of Rihanna's talent. I believe music is something very beautiful and is about expressing artists emotional feelings and for listeners to find a connection whether it be emotionally or mentally. I realize that Rihanna is expressing her hormonal feelings and while she is expressing...something...she is also(again in my opinion)crossing a line. I also realize some people won't agree with me and I am okay with that, but I don't want to get into some huge comment fight. As a young girl I don't appreciate mainstream music and I am particularly not a fan of Rihanna and hearing this song around the house is really unpleasant(I don't have control over the radio lol), but I feel sad for Rihanna because she does(sort of) have a nice voice and ever since she was abused she has become really...for lack of a better word slutty. This concludes my rant. Sorry for the people who don't agree with me, but please keep in mind that I am expressing MY opinion. |

I think it's about getting a second chance at love. It sounds like she's talking about entering a relationship with a guy she was once with before but they broke up and now they are together again and are determined to make it last this time. That's just the first thing that came to my mind after listening. I love this song. Her vocals are amazing. Much better live. |
