Wow... pretty amazing that such a nice song could cause an argument over the use of the word 'lord' or not. It's not like using the word means a whole lot, it's just an expression to a lot of people.
I agree though that he's saying "didn't" and not "did" in the chorus... |

I'm pretty positive that 'silver plated numbing gum' is refering to lithium, which is a silver metal and also used in a treatment for bipolar disorder |
