| Say Anything – Joel On Other Planets Lyrics | 15 years ago |

From what I can tell, the "Pray for love on other plants," must be in the song to illuminate our general failure to value love. We betray it for personal gain, we allow it to wither rather than put forth the effort need to facilitate its growth, or we fail to be the people we should be for our lived ones (i.e. a drug abusing older brother). If love is something unique to our world, the way we take it for granted is sickening. Just my interpretation though |

| Say Anything – Most Beautiful Plague Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Raining meteors, plagues of toads, and turning the water of the Nile into blood were all miracles performed by Moses in the old testament to free the Jewish people from their Egyptian oppressors. Assuming he didn't put the biblical reference (or Torah reference, whichever floats your boat) for giggles, it must carry some significance. I suspect Egypt parallels whoever he is seeing at the time, essentially oppressing and restricting him, and although he wants everything to work, the two inadvertently plague each other. |
