it is catholics who consider mary a queen and hail her as such, not christians. based on everything i've heard and know about the band, i can state that flyleaf is NOT catholic, and so i'm willing to bet that the queen isnt a reference to mary. i agree with DixieJ's thoughts on who the queen is, all things considered.
also, i realise that it is fully possible for a catholic to be christian, i want to avoid going into detail about the difference between the two, but /only catholics/ consider mary the queen, so the statement "Christians consider her the queen" is quite inaccurate. |

maya, you're a bit off. in the analogy the groom, jesus, has yet to come and marry the bride. in biblical times there was a betrothal period during which the bride and groom were separated until the wedding. likewise, the bride of christ is separate from her groom during the church age, which is now. the church will be united with christ in the second coming, the official "wedding" will happen and then the eternal union of christ and his bride will be actualised (revelation 19:7-9; 21:1-2) |

Is Flyleaf a Christian band?
The best answer we've gotten to date is:
Lacey: "We all share the same faith. And so when we deal with the whole 'Christian band thing', we kind of think about something POD says, like, 'If you're a Christian, it affects everything in your life. So if you're a plumber, does that make you a Christian plumber?' I don't know the answer. We're a band, it's part of who we are, so it comes out in our music, and it's the fuel for what we do. And finding faith saved my life. So I'm not ashamed of it at all. And most of our album reflects that."
