Hey guys! I just listened to this song after it suddenly got stuck in my head today... I read your thoughts and I have to say I disagree with you both saying the storm in this song is a metaphor for a relationship. My first guess would be that it's the very opposite. I think that it's about him chasing her or maybe they're already getting together. He sees her as perfection, but he fears that when she will love/like him back he will start taking her for granted or he will lose interest in her... or maybe he just doesn't want this stormlike begining of the relationship with so much uncertanty, so much danger (he could get hurt) but such beauty to end - he wants to stay at the 1st stage of the relationship, he wants to stay madly in love with her. Ok so what do you guys think of my perspective? |
