I think this song is about taking a big dose of psychs with a special lady. Suddenly, all your history's ablaze Try to breathe, as the world disintegrates (you realize you're coming up quick) Just like autumn leaves, we're in for change (coming up) Holding tenderly to what remains (starting to trip hard) And all your memories, are as precious as gold And all the honey, and the fire which you've stole Have you running through all your red-cheeked days (some introspective mental tripping about your past and younger days) Shaking loose these souls, from their sacred hiding space (our two trippers feel a soul to soul) Hold your heart courageously As we walk into this dark place (alluding to the difficult parts of the trip, after all they took a large dose) Stand steadfast erect and see That love is the province of the brave (but they <3 each other so they pull through) Pushed under this expanse of bursting stars (good visuals) Let this burning brightly illuminate the where we are (crazy good visuals) In this hollow that's lovers' voices occupy Let it follow that we let it free, let it fly (describing their tripping setting, maybe "letting it free" refers to putting on some good tripping music, like this song or perhaps Wolf Like Me. Breaking open the walls of this cage (breaking out of the non-tripping mind) Intoxicated, oh so amazed (nuff said here) Much like falcons tumbling from the heights at play Conjoined, talons engaged (an artistic trippy falcon analogy for how they love each other while tripping out on being falcons) Hold these hearts courageously As we walk into this dark place Stand steadfast beside me and see That love is the province of the brave (same as before) And that's my take on it, I don't really see anything political going on here. :) |

Thank god someone else realizes this is about tripping drugs with a girl. It's so obvious if you've done it. The sex thing is definitely not as obvious a conclusion from the lyrics although it could definitely be involved. Here goes: Got a curse I cannot lift (what happens after you drop) Shines when the sunset shifts (getting visuals) When the moon is round and full Gotta bust that box gotta gut that fish (could be sex, but who knows, pretty vague) My mind's aflame (tripping) We could jet in a stolen car But I bet we wouldn't get too far Before the transformation takes (tripping) And bloodlust tanks and Crave gets slaked My mind has changed my body's frame but god I like it (tripping) My heart's aflame my body's strained but god I like it (tripping) My mind has changed my body's frame but god I like it (tripping) My heart's aflame my body's strained but god I like it (tripping) Charge me your day rate I'll turn you out in kind When the moon is round and full Gonna teach you tricks that'll blow your mongrel mind (tripping) Baby doll I recognize You're a hideous thing inside (tripping) If ever there were a lucky kind it's You you you you (probably case tripping with TV on the Radio Would be awesome, they are cocky enough to recognize it) I know it's strange another way to get to know you (tripping) You'll never know unless we go so let me show you (tripping) I know its strange another way to get to know you (tripping) We've got till noon here comes the moon so let it show you (tripping) Show you now Dream me oh dreamer (tripping) Down to the floor (tripping) Open my hands and let them Weave onto yours (maybe a little more sex here) Feel me, completer Down to my core Open my heart and let it Bleed onto yours (this verse is tricky. could be about a physical thing like sex but i don't think about my heart bleeding when i'm getting romantic with my lady. definitely a trippy mental image there, so i'm giving the nod to tripping on this one as well) Feeding on fever (tripping) Down on all fours (tripping) Show you what all the (tripping) Howlin's for (tripping) Hey hey my playmate (the playmate definitely is abut a special lady in my view so i can see how the sex thing could be a natural interpretation) Let me lay waste to thee (ok they might be getting it on here, but definitely still while tripping) Burned down their hanging trees (tripping) It's hot here hot here hot here hot here (tripping) Got a curse we cannot lift (tripping) Shines when the sunshine shifts (tripping) There's a curse comes with a kiss (tripping) The bite that binds the gift that gives (tripping) Now that we got gone for good (tripping) Writhing under your riding hood (tripping) Tell your grandma and your mama too (maybe don't, but who wouldn't want to tell their mom and grandma they tripped with tv on the radio, so this is about tripping to) It's true We're howling forever (tripping) |

This song is 100% spot on with my own philosophy on life. It's pretty obvious to me that it's about doing whatever it takes to live it to the fullest. If you look at the second verse it's about having to work hard to get to where you want to be, which is what anyone has to do to become successful. The first verse is obviously about the party hard lifestyle with a special focus on good times via substances and living it with no regrets. Work hard play hard. Kid Cudi knows what he's talking about. |
