No offense to anyone but I think your reading way to deeply into this song. Yes there are drug refrences. But it's essentially. Read the lyrics, you'll see the story laid out in front of you. In my opinion it goes like this: Him and his high school friends go out and party. The girl he loves is probably with him. He does crack and of course it makes him high. He starts to like the rush of it. The girl probably doesn't approve (I know I wouldn't) but she's just gonna let it go. suddenly it's too much for him. He probably goes for a drive while he's high and crashes the car. Then the next part(You can breathe), he's at the hospital, scared to death but not really hurt. The girl probably can't handle it and she has to leave. He's trying to convince her that it's okay, that everything will be all right. It won't happen again, but she isn't too sure. But she decides to trust him, because in all events they will always love each other. It's a love song, it's not all about drugs and partying. It's about things that happen that can keep you together. It's about making choices. At least in my opinion it is. At least |
