| Sorry, aaronfromhastings, but I don't agree with you that the "maker" is God since if it referred to God it would be capitalized. If you haven't read the book, you should. You might see that the maker is probably Jack since Ennis says that it's because of Jack that he's the way he is. I think this is Ennis's song because it is Ennis who is sad at the end, not Jack, and it is Ennis who is still thinking of Jack in his dreams. | |
