I have been struggling living with my dad and his girlfriend for the past nine months while my mom has been sick. Since I started my senior year in August, I have been diagnosed with depression and have been trying to find ways of keeping myself strong and optimistic. I felt my strength start to slip away until I started to try turning things around and this song that initiated that. Thank you Jimmy Eat World! |

I think that this song is directed towards a girl whom has been hurt deeply in the past and therefore closes herself off from love and this in turn makes her bitter. She still teases men from a sexual stance, but won't let anyone become close to her let alone love her. She creates this façade of being a cold-hearted beauty when all she wants is someone who will appreciate her. |

This song makes more sense played backwards than it does forward. The song is revolved around the amount of hate Kurt had with his life and is pretty clear to see when you hear/see the song played backwards. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what is seems like. |
