Well acording to Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett (creators of the Gorillaz) the reason they made the band was because they thought that the music being created by most artists today is crap. I think that this song is about how most musicians that make it big just make one good song. After that they start to get repetious, but they continue to make money. Then they get a kind of high out of making money (rehab for cash), and continue to keep making bad music. So basicly these artists can either make their bad music and make all of the money or they can make the music that they think sounds good and risk loosing money. Thats what I think. |

I think 5clone pretty much got it. The first verse I would say is about how instead of worrying about weapons of mass destruction(rockets) we should be worrying about our enviroment. My guess is that the second verse is about How we need to take all of our troops out of Iraq and afghanistan. I think this is directed towards the United States. Definintely seems to be political. |

I think the song is about someone who recently lost something that he cant get over. He just cant understand why it causes himself so much pain. There could be more depth to it, but I think that what it is generally about. I thin the english version has the same meaning too. |

Ive always enjoyed listnening to this song. When I hear that wind like noise I always think of being on a train. Anyways I think this song has to do with someone that did or is doing something(moving to a city) that they dont like to make money, and there thinking at first that they'll never get another chance to become wealthy if they dont do it now. They also think that they cant do what they love to be happy or make money. Then they all of a sudden just cant take it anymore and relize that there can be a second chance and you can do what you love and still be happy. They relize that there is gonne be some problems, but thats just how life is and its all worth for your true happiness. |
