I took the name "Mariella" as my 2nd name, because I think, that I'm like Mariella. Like tadobsessed said: Mariella is an introvert. She want to be on her own, and play with herself. She don't want to share her thoughts to other, because she just want to be alone. She glued her lips together, because so, she don't need to speak to people, and people can see, that she don't want to talk with them. I love this song. It's sweet. But in the start, Kate Nash sings that "as soon as she got an opinion, it just has to come out". And that's why she want to be Mariella. And "She laugh at stupid things", and she wish that she didn't do theese things, so she wish that she could be like Mariella, so she wouldn't laugh at stupid things, and say her opinion everytime! Mariella haven't any friends at school, because everyone that she's weird. And she's too clever for her own class-step, so she have skipped few class-step, and that's why "the boy aren't to girls in that age". They're maybe 15, and she's 11. Sometimes I mean, that I'm like Mariella. The girls in my old class thought that I was weird, and the teatchers get enough of me, and thought "that it just was a phase" that I behaved me in that way. It was annoying! In that time I wished that they could understand me. (Sorry for my english, I haven't got many english-lessons, my english sucks a lot... Hope you could understand me!) It's just what I think. But everyone have their own "Mariella" in themself, they have just to find her. :) |

"know that there is no escape from my snowbrigade" "and feel the spring come" When I listened to this phrases, I thought it was about that the winter is so long, and it never would stop. But when I listen to the other phrases in this song, it makes no sense! It's weird. I think you all have right. It's only Mew self who know, that this song is about. It could also be love, drugs, or anything else! I don't think, there should be one only meaning with this song. I just think, it should be, what you mean! |

this song is about a girl (Mariella) who glues her lips together. I think she's the youngest in her class, maybe she has skipped a class or to, 'cause she too good for her own class-step.. she's wearing black clothes, 'cause it looks mysterius, but her mother want her to wearing pink and pearls. Mariella is don't care with it. I think it's intentional that she behaves in that way, 'cause she want to be a little different compared to other.. She want to stand out, if you understand ;D |
