I think it could be about death. Like, he's a ghost and he's looking at everyone around him. The lyric "I'm not ready for a handshake with death yet" could mean that he wasn't ready to die, but he did (either that or he's in a coma, like in that crappy movie...). Everytime he looks in the mirror, he can't see anything and he just continues to try and see something that looks like him. In the second verse it could be talking about how he misses doing everything he used to be able to do, like drinking and walking and friends. The song could also be about "loners" and how they compensate. Some take drugs, some become alcoholics, some become depressed, some have sex and others just try to find a friend that they can have all to themselves. Some also become musicians or writers and try to socialise with people through those types of things. Anyway, LOVE THE SONG and I'm totally addicted to it. |

Ok, personally, I think it's about sexual frustration and also how he thinks he may love someone. It sort of reminds me of teenagers and how love comes second and sex comes first. But with this girl, love comes first, but he still wants to do her. And personally, I think it's "oh fuck, oh fuck" because it sort of fits better with what I take it to mean. But with a Fall Out Boy song, there are so (freaking) many interrpratations. I bet Pete even interperates it different than us. W.A.M.S-We. Are. Merely. Sexual. PS. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that whole paragraph contradicts everything I said and meant. |
