| This is probably my favourite FF song. One of my fave songs period. It's a game. People who take degrees in lit would call this metafiction, or maybe a metasong. It's a song about a certain type of song making process. It's boiling the whole idea of ethnomusicology down to a simple, repetitive formula. person in geographical area X has miserable experience Y and this is "authentic" because it was transcribed in situ... Love that the song uses super specific names and locations (one is even revisited) but the lyrics she writes down are totally non-specific. It's hilarious and beautiful, and i lvoe the way that the sonofabitch's song doesn't even need words. I wanna listen to it now> | |

Eleventy has got it right. In addition, juan Carlos is saying "mummy..." in the dock at the Hague, where the international war crimed trials are held. Part two is a beautifully meaningless postmodern piece just about names, a perfect little song in itself. |
