i dont like to look at this as a break up. ive heard that tay said it was about a break up and ive heard that she said it was bout friends. i like to see it as a friend falling out. a year ago i listened to this song and got choked up thinking about how much it would suck if i lost my best friend. but that would never happen! now when i listen to it, i sob because were not best friends anymore. and the part about "no one there to save me". when you lose a friend, it sucks, its sad, you move on. when you lose a best friend, its devastating and feels like the world is going to end. you have to watch her make new friends and wonder who the hell she has become. and shes not there to help you. people are people and sometimes we change our minds. its much scarier to lose a friend than a boyfriend. |

this song is so beautiful, especially with taylor singing it. there is someone special and i feel so connected to him. im "caught up in you". only thinking about him, and its so sudden too. first he was a good friend, someone funny and fun to be around and all of a sudden " a million little stars are spelling out his name". it just hit me. its not so much that he is unattainable but that i thrive on his actions toward me. "untouchable, burning brighter than the sun. and now thats youre close i feel like coming undone" when they are close, its so hard to get it together because its like my breath is taken away by how amazing he is. its that gooey feeling in you knees you get when youre around someone you love. and its real. hes only amazing to me, i see beauty in him thats invisible to others i feel so close to having him but then at times it feels like hes a million miles away so beautiful. |

I don't see this song as a boy issue (although thats probably what tay meant because how many of her songs aren't about boys haha?) . The cool thing about Taylor is that her songs are made for relating to. Each song can be seen many ways depending on how you see it. I see this as a falling out of friends. She wants so badly for them to be friends but is so tired of trying and trying. Her best friend says they are still friend, dont worry! but actions speak louder than word, and the best friend doesnt reach out. also talk to the man with the reasons why and the man that put you here, is absolutely god. because praying is a main thing when being lost and losing someone. i think when she says "talk to..." she is talking about herself, not her friend. and telling herself dont wait for the sky to clear, because you cant waste your life waiting for someone wh odoesnt care. its so sad. its probably about a boy but i havent had this situation with a boyfriend. i have had this happen with my best friend, though. such a hard thing to go through and this is exactly how i felt. |
