Hawk Nelson – Everything You Ever Wanted Lyrics
| 14 years ago

Jasun Dunn:
-"Everything You Ever Wanted" was a song about a father who walked out on his family, abandoned his kids and his wife and his whole family. And it goes from his son's point of view - how he was just a kid when his dad walks out on him and it's a tough life. And he realizes his dad's a jerk and can't believe he did that."-
-"...A brother, a girlfriend or a boyfriend. There's so many scenarios. It doesn't necessarily have to say your dad. It can be anyone, like your best friend."-

Skillet – Would It Matter Lyrics

This is probably their most depressing song. The sadness of this song comes from its sheer reality. I know almost everyone has felt like this some time or another, some maybe for long periods of time. I feel like this often. Awesome job, Skillet |

I thought that at first too, but now I think I like Korey's voice better. Especially in The Last Night, and live when she sang in Lucy. |

Although I do notice the Christian meaning behind many of Skillet's songs, I always though of this song as a guy talking to a girl also. The way people are built, guys notice the beauty (inside and out) of girls usually before they notice it themselves (and vice versa, for sure.) |

Toby Mac – Boomin'/Opera Trip Lyrics

I like to think of this song as a sequel to Diverse City in their last album, once again about his fictional city called Diverse City. I don't get the whole "Portable Sounds" verses, though. The second verse is especially awesome. "Got a Haitian Princess, an Aussie Mate". This whole album rocks. Tobymac rocks. |
