I'm pretty sure they aren't. Just check their individual myspaces if you'd like to know. There's an "Orientation" section in About Me. or whatever that section is. |

PS: Songs don't always have an alternate meaning. Sometimes songwriters just want to write something silly and half-serious. Adam is that kind of guy. |

Sigh... Why can't people just accept that the song is about going to the dentist and smiling? It perfectly describes the 'chill' you get from the dentist no matter your age, and how it's always a bit awkward and uncomfortable. |

No. It's about going to the goddamn dentist, why is that so hard to believe? Also, it's 'fights' not 'flights' |

Exactly. He's also the only dude I know of that can pull off singing a song about the Dentist, and it comes off as cool and quirky, not stupid.
Adam is a pretty amazing artist. Seems like a damn good person as well. |

Not trying to be an ass, but I don't think Meth is anything Adam Young would write about, he's a very positive, vibrant guy, and I don't think he'd focus on something like that. |

Guys... please don't ever make a song like Hawkbot again. It's not FTSK. It's not why all your real fans love you. I truly enjoyed Hip Hop Chick and She Likes. (The only songs from Friday I've seen them perform live, so maybe they get it.) But this is just... Ugh. Come back to us guys. |

I really like this song... I saw FTSK perform it live in Orlando a week or two ago, and wasn't familiar with it, but it's really grown on me. It's one of my favorite songs by them now. It's a bit different from their other stuff, and I don't want them to stop doing what they do but a few songs like this every now and then are a nice way to shake things up a bit. Overall I'm very impressed with the guys, and can't wait to see them again! (Thinking about flying out to Anaheim to see the last show of the tour O.o) |

Erm... No. Sorry but they didn't. By covering a song terribly and showing what lousy musicians they are, they made an entire group of people a joke? It's stupid to even entertain the idea that NOFX has the power to turn a whole lifestyle into a joke with one song. |

That's all fine and dandy, but there's even more people that do drink, and will make fun of you if you don't, without even saying Straight Edge or saying anything even slightly elitist. Just as many people that do drugs and drink brag about it and run their mouths about it than people who are Straight Edge and like to express it/brag/run their mouths about it.
So how about we all lay off Straight Edge and realize that there's plenty of elitist dicks among people that do drink or do drugs, and think they're better because they do. |

No one was preaching. All I read was a bunch of idiots attacking Straight Edge. None of us Straight Edge guys were preaching to anyone. Maybe get your head out of your ass?
By the way Kacker, good write up there, it was pretty much everything I was going to say... albeit 7 years later, heh. |
