@[archirator:5431] Not agree with you entirely, but I like the "God shaped void" quote. Oh, it's Pascal? Nice. I am somewhat annoyed by how she bashes philosophy not realising she is just proposing one. And that's being lazy with your thoughts, not trying to understand more, affirmation of shallowness. Yup - "idiot's convenience". The "smile on a dog" line and "light in the fog" - some people see it, some don't. The fine tuning of the universe - now we have multiverse theory for that. "If any one of them varied by even a small margin, life would not be possible" - just life as we know it. I wouldn't be surprised if the fundamental constants were more connected than we know now and one is a consequence of another. Anyhow we ask questions, because we exist. And we exist in an universe we can exist. Would be weird to find ourselves in a world that can't sustain life. This leaves the fine tuning problem and leads to fundamental - why is there something rather than nothing? If someone is reading this - why don't you go against the philosophy of this song, go a little deeper and try to answer the last question? |

Have you ever been in a reletionship and felt you can give no love? This guy has this all the time. He is just an observer between humans. A vampyre of time and memories. He consumes time and events that happen but can't relate to. Outsider. "I want God to come and take me home 'Cause I'm all alone in this crowd Who are you to me? Who am I supposed to be?" So he has this existential questions and the wish to terminate his existence. "You think the worst of all is far behind The vampire of time and memories has died I survived. I speak, I breathe, " I'd say that's about Joshua's near death experience. His friends are happy he is still alive. But the unability to feel love makes him incomplete and there is nothing to be cheering about. Are we all like this or does anyone ever get this right? |
