Have you ever considered that it may be best for you to follow your heart? Maybe you will get hurt but you also learn a lot about yourself instead of spending a lot of time pondering about all of the could-be's. But I agree that it is a struggle between the conscious (the mind) and the subconscious (the heart). It is like she is saying (to herself) that she has moved because she is afraid of her own emotions (the fire). This may also be the reason why she has such a hard time sleeping. When she sleeps it is her subconsciousness that takes over control and this means she is no longer able to bend her innate emotions and ignore all the lies she is trying to convince herself is true. You can lie to others but you can never lie to yourself, especially in matters of love :-) If you suppress the feelings/scars in your heart another feeling will take over and it's called regret. So in the beginning she is denying herself the truth and ind the end (all the repetitions) she is regretting why she didn't listen to her heart. |
