Evanescence – Lose Control Lyrics 16 years ago
Ok people I seriously doubt that a person such as Amy Lee would ever write about sex, much less cheating, since she is married. Although the line "if we play very quiet my lamb, mary never has to know" implies cheating, why do so many people jump to that conclusion? It's about betrayal of someone. Or doing something you know is wrong...why else would they "play very quiet". For all you know it's about stealing something and being quiet and sneaky. Or just letting go and having fun for once, not being so wary of everything. The betrayal aspect DOESN'T have to mean cheating, and cheating doesn't have to be the only explanation for this song okay? Seriously that's getting old.

Evanescence – Lithium Lyrics 16 years ago
It's a metaphor about loving the negative feelings, or a bad relationship. Amy Lee has never been on Lithium, and the song is not about the drug....I know when I was on Lithium I just wanted to die, so I sure as hell wasn't afraid to be normal again. I would've given anything to get off the drug thankfully I am now. Anyways, like I said it's a metaphor.

It's a metaphor about loving the dark, negative feelings. But yes anyone who has taken Lithium knows that the song relates well with what they go through. I was on it and it sucked. Anyways though Amy Lee has never been on psych drugs.

Don't let them put you on Lithium it sucks, I felt empty, just like what you described. Plus if you like your figure it would be best to stay away from it.

Evanescence – Lithium Lyrics 16 years ago
Ok this song is a metaphor about a bad relationship...."I want to stay in love with my sorrow", and she wants to let it go but she wants to stay as well.
As far as "bipolar" is concerned, I don't believe it. I was diagnosed with it and drugged up on that shit and retained so much water I looked like I was pregnant.....don't ever let them put you on Lithium. It sucks, big time. The only emotions you'll feel are emptiness, sadness, anger, or no emotion at all. I don't remember any happy feelings on Lithium. Hence the metaphor of the song.

Evanescence – The Only One Lyrics 16 years ago
I think this about the horror and bullshit that came with the eight year bush era, and it made people so depressed that many committed suicide (find a back door out of life).
Don't look down
don't look into the eyes of the world beneath you
don't look down, you'll fall down, you'll become their sacrifice (I think this part means that the bush era brought out the absolute worst in everyone.

Bullet for My Valentine – One Good Reason Why Lyrics 16 years ago
This sounds like a guy who's fed up of his girl cheating, never being home "you're never here in this bed of mine" and he wants to kill her, asking for one damn good reason why he shouldn't just let her live and have sex with her "give me one good reason I should give you love tonight". From the "give me one good reason why" it sounds like he's not ready to give up on the relationship yet.

Bullet for My Valentine – Ashes of the Innocent Lyrics 16 years ago
This song sounds like it has to do with war times, why else would it be called Ashes of The Innocent? Too many innocent people are killed in war. The lyrics "mourning all your loved ones as their bodies turn to stone" means that family caught up in it are dying. The chorus sounds like being humbled to what is going on and the line "so as the fire burns and the tables turn" meaning that the soldiers could also be killed any moment, and the rest of the lyrics in general just sound very related to what goes on during war.
