This is what I get out of this song: He feels so strongly about this certain person, that he gets nervous just talking to her. And so sometimes his words don't flow as nicely as he hopes.
And I also believe he is talking about something he said screwed up his relationship with this person, and that he can't believe it ended because he loves her so...

Wow, The Blue Album knows where it's at with relationship. Nick really knows his way with women, the pain inflicted by them. Yeah, what I get out of this song is that Nick loves a girl, but doesn't love him back, or maybe doesn't love him as much as he loves her. I feel like this is somehow tied to "Sweet". This song also speaks to me, recent break-up troubles. |

This reminds me of a recent break-up. We got together so fast, and broke up so fast. I love this song, it really helped me out, just like any of their songs. I really loved her, but I guess I was just too much for her. |

This song is great. I personally think that 311 is talking about all of the posers who are in bands just to gain notoriety and fame. Especially metal bands. I remember I went to a metal concert and the opening bands SUCKED. They were just in it for the style. 311 however speak from their hearts and decided to be in a band because they love music. Just like my band. We get so pissed off when yet another group of kids decide to make a metal band. We make music from our soul, not from our egos.
