I think this is about how he thinks he loves this girl, but he doesn't want to say "I love you" untill he is absolutely sure about it. The "One foot in, one foot out" statement shows his uncertainty of the situation. he doesn't want to sell-out, meaning that he doesnt want to say the words just because he can. I love this song, it brings a smile to my face everytime it comes on. You can tell the guy really cares about the girl and that is why he is having such a hard time, he doesn't want to say the words untill he is absolutely sure, that way he can't hurt her as much in the end. Just my thoughts :) |

Such a cute song, basically the boy is telling the girl that she really really means a lot to her, and the only way that he know to tell her is through song... but even that sometimes isn't enough. The chorus is extemely cute, i love how he wants to write the soundtrack to her life and then live it with her....AWWWW! |

LOVE THIS SONG!
I think its mostly about pushing to be your best, and that you have people on your side that will advise you on the way. This could be about one of the songwriter's friends going out to do something on their own, and he wants to let them know that they will do fine and that he will be there if he needs it. |
