It has nothing to do with religion, it's about a relationship with a girl, the title being an analogy of him becoming single again! You have also taken two words from a lyric and come up with a reference to a Byrds supposed reference in a song song as justification for what you are saying! What a clown! |

Squire? The weak link? I think you need to have a quiet word with yourself, son! There isn't a weak link in this band! And just to point out, Squire and Brown grew up in Timperley, Cheshire. Quite a nice area actually. They attended grammar school too, not so sure where you invented their nightmare upbringing from! Mani on the other hand lived in Crumpsall, now that IS a sh*thole! No wonder he moved to Heaton Moor! |

| The River Mersey only skirts Manchester around the Sale area, it starts in Stockport and goes near Altrincham where Ian Brown lived - in Cheshire. It's about all the crap that goes into the river ending up in Liverpool, with the play on words confirming it. Top song with a nice bit of Northern imagery and humour thrown in! | |
