Yup. by taylor. he said that he based the song about an air mattress because when you sleep on an air mattress with a girl and there's a leak or something and over night the middle of the air mattress looses it's air making the two lovers forced by gravity together by morning time. |

oh. and the eagle pole song according to the making of conor oberst my kind documentary was about when they were in mexico a band tech saw an eagle on a pole and another band tech said that that'd be a good lyric for a song. and then all of them decided to write a song about an eagle on a pole. that's why there are two songs one by conor, and i believe one by the drummer. |

I think this song is just about sleeping around. feeling empty. not wanting to commit to one woman. or rather not being able to anymore. when i saw MVB conor said something like "this song is called ten women. you do the math. so sad it shouldn't even be a song." something like that. seemed like he felt shame for the lyrics. |
