very outkast-esque, even running the alien theme in the music video too :P This song is definitely talking about the facade and alternative "face" that he put on to achieve fame. After putting the alternate "face" on he morphs into a stereotypical pop star, such as dare I say it, soulja boy; failing classes, getting high, "getting money". The chorus reminds us that as we die, the superficial and pointless fortunes will be obsolete, while making a difference is what the modern artists should strive for. The next verse reflects the garbage spewed by modern day rappers; talking about their futile wealth, getting high, complete irresponsibility. attempting to create reform, Bobby Ray talks about the responsibility he must bear, and how he must lead by example. He hopes that he might have made a difference in his lifetime. hope this helps :D |

I am VERY IMPRESSED by this man/woman's interpretation. hit nearly all allusions found. This just shows how incredible fiasco's wordplay is. This song is like a classic poem you'd have to decipher in english class, except its rapped over ill beats by beast on the mic :D |
