I think idea of this song is that people are often blaming God in their mistakes. "Motion without meaning. Action without function. nothing will breed nothing. it's all your fault. Why can't you brace yourself?" - I think this is God's words to people who blame Him in their mistakes. It's only my opinion :) |

I think this song is about moments in everyday's life when God "put down the fear in our eyes". Moments that are very important for us, and we need bravery and strength when they're coming. There's talk between God and Man I think: "Sound the alarms all eyes to the horizon Prepare for war put down the fear in your eyes We fight and die, bearing arms, free of fear Our colors nailed to the mast" - God leads Man to do the things that Man have to do. "I may not make it back But I'll make sure someone never forgets me (x2) No regrets nothing left to loose I may not make it back This night is mine" - Man's answer to God. "So take a good last look at the blackened sky Put down the fear in your eyes" - God. "I thought I'd never see this day" - Man. This is how i see this song.
