A few corrections! Instead of "Gotta go home tonight and I've got a good life, it's a good day" It should be "Gotta go home to know that I've got a good life, it's a good day" Instead of "Down the road, with half my things I'm going home" It should be "Down the road, I'll pack my things I'm going home" Also, I believe "I sure love coming back home for her, for about a week" Should be "I sure love coming back home for a, for about a week" |

Jim actually said he can't stand the Grateful Dead, but he just really thought the character in this song would have one of their bootlegs as they drove across country looking for something new. People need to realize JEW's lyrics are a work of fiction. Jim creates characters and writes from their viewpoint. |

While the lyrics are the same, this song is a million times better in every way. Keith said: "This song was written about a girl who said she wanted me one moment and then told me I missed my chance the next moment. Instead of playing games, I said, "I should go." We wanted Dan's guitar to sound like a ukulele, so we used a capo on the seventh fret. Tim's beat was played on the back of one of our acoustic guitars and the track is loaded with percussion instruments. I really love the way this turned out." |
