A simple song about simple fantasy. The girl (second half) is the boy's friend's younger sister. The boy (first half) is crashing sister & friend's couch for a week, so he is likely a bit of a traveler. During his stay, unspoken feelings develop in the boy and the girl. The girl is young, innocent, curious, and just out of reach because of her relationship to the friend (brother) and possibly by her age as well. The song expresses the undeclared longings each character harbors for the another in a beautifully honest and innocent way. |
