I know from personal experience that what you say is true, even though I didn't think she was perfect. I'll explain about that story later. |

| I agree completely about the "every rose" part. :) | |

| Amen to that, because it's the absolute truth! | |

*percieved Anyways, this is another very interesting interpretation on this great song because let's face it, every single human being on this earth is flawed in some way, shape, or form, even if you can't see it! :) |

@ccassady: Same here about the "this song has been a favorite of mine since the first time I had heard it!" part! :) Anyways, you've "hit the nail on the head" with your interpretation of this song! Another part you might've been missing (or at least my interpretation of the song after I heard it and it became a favorite of mine) is what "cubbyblues" asked about the possible meaning of"every good thing has it's bad." In other words (as you partially said): "Every good thing has a bad thing attached to it and if we're not careful, that bad thing could end up hurting us either psychologically/mentally or physically." |

| I thought the same exact thing when I heard this song for the first time, and yes, I believe that's one of the best interpretations that I've seen on here! :) | |

| You're the fifth commenter so far to "hit the nail on the head" when it comes to the meaning of this song. :) | |

| @femalecenobite: Thanks for your input. That's what I thought too, but it could mean anything along those lines. | |
| Michelle Branch – Are You Happy Now? Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I can definately relate to this song, because I was lied to (although I didn't realize it) on the last day of my sophomore year of high school by a girl that I thought was my "friend" and liked me as "more than a friend", and I'll never know if she regretted it or not. I feel that this song perfectly expresses everything that I felt after I found out that she lied to me. Oh well, it's her loss for lying to me, and she'll eventually learn (if she hasn't already) that "whatever goes around, comes around". | |

Actually, I meant: There is one part that I'm still wondering about: "..Lining up for the execution Without knowing why.." Is that a possible reference to the Holocaust? I think that it is a reference to it, and I picked up on it when I first heard this song a while ago. Other than that reference that I picked up on when I first heard the song, Zenwizard, steelblue71, tugit, and Jun 3 are all "hitting the nail on the head" with the meaning of this song: our society just blames everyone's problems on anyone other than who's fault it really is---ours. |
