Like some of the folks who posted above, this is quite possibly my favorite song. By anyone. and I am no EC fanatic, just a longtime fan. Although this site deals mainly with lyrical content, I have to mention one thing that always gets me about this song and that is the delivery - which was apparently done in multiple takes, trading lines back and forth with himself. Certainly not the only time this approach has been taken, but in this instance, yet another facet that makes this beautifully executed song true GENIUS. |
