So agree with Moogla! A This cut should have 50+ comments. MCA is is so rad on this it defies belief: 'I step from minute to minute, lifetime to lifetime Step from stage to stage to see it all unwind Slowly but surely I seek to find my mind And every wall that I face is ow my own design' Guy was a one of a kind genius and is sadly missed RIP |

| Nirvana – Dumb Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It's about not fitting in, being miserable and using smack as an alternative to reality - 'The sun is gone, but I have a light', 'My heart is broke, but I have some glue'. | |

| Prety self explanantory really...'Come as you are' ie be yourself, don't try and be something you're not - it's about being genuine. | |

'In utero' was front loaded with all the 'tunes' and descends into a dissonant squall towards the end (which I love). It was a deliberate attempt to alienate the very people that had bought their records and put them where they were. The Album finishes with 'All apologies'. Basically a sarcastic retort to all the mugs who liked them for their 'pretty songs' and had bought this album, scratching their heads going WTF?! It's like he's saying 'Not what you expected? Nevermind II? Sorry guys.....' with a wry grin on his face. PS I think 'In Utero' is head and shoulders above 'Nevermind' |

Kurt was a seriously smart cookie. If you look at the recently released Live at Reading 1992 DVD you can tell he is already bored with song 'Teen Spirit' - it definately isn't the highlight of the show and they try to have fun with it by starting it off as Boston's 'More than a feeling'. They were already shit bored with playing it live and being defined by it, when they had so much more superior material that was often overlooked. 'Rape me' is a direct paradody of 'Teen Spirit' in terms of the riff and lyrically refers to being fucked over by this song that by now (time of recording 'In Utero') he had come to despise. |
